Senior Java Backend

Scope of work

• Design, develop, and test system/product features with high quality.

• Utilize AI Coding Tools (Cursor, Gemini Code Assist, ChatGPT…) to accelerate development and enhance code quality.

• Perform Self-Review and participate in Cross/Peer Review to maintain consistent coding standards.

• Troubleshoot and debug server-side issues to maintain system stability and performance.

• Monitor, optimize, and improve the application’s performance and server-side logic.

• Optimize Non-Functional Requirements (performance, scalability, maintainability).

• Create technical design and implementation plans; ensure development follows proper viewpoints.

• Research and propose new technologies to enhance system performance and product quality.

Your Skills and Experience

• 5+ years of experience with Java, ideally with versions 8/17/21.

• Experience in system design and solution planning.

• Experience with RESTful APIs and API development.

• Deep expertise in performance tuning, especially API latency & throughput.

• Solid experience with MongoDB (Schema Design, Query Optimization).

• Strong experience working with Microservices (gRPC, Event-Driven, REST).

• Ability to write clean, maintainable, readable code following standards.

• Solid understanding of OOP and Design Patterns.

• Proficiency in Spring Boot / Spring Framework.

• Familiarity with version control systems, such as Git.

• Experience with system re-engineering/refactoring.

• Familiarity with Docker, Kubernetes (K8s), OCI.

• Knowledge of Problem-Solving Techniques (5 Whys, Fishbone).

• Experience working in high-performance or large-scale distributed systems.

• Familiarity with cloud services such as AWS, or Google Cloud is a plus.
